Getting ready...
Busy getting ready for this summer...so much to get done before Sunday! Packing, cleaning, dog to the vet, cleaning, doctor appt., packing, shopping, cleaning, packing... This Sunday I am leaving to spend the next three months away from home, in a couple of different places. The first 3 weeks are at the University of Akron; basically needlework bootcamp and preparation for our internships later on in the summer. The program is being organized by TNNA
, and while I'm not quite sure what to expect, I'm sure it will be interesting! Then I head to Penland for 2 weeks, to take a really cool wearable couture class from an awesome mixed media artist. After that, I head back to Ohio for my internship with designer/author/fibery guru Shannon Okey. I'll get back home at the end of August, just in time to unpack and head back to school. So, I basically have to have everything I'm going to need over the next 3 months crammed into my (little) car when I leave on Sunday. Not to mention leaving my dog and house for the summer...they'll be fine, but I'll be homesick! Actually, I take it back - I'm not sure I'm going to have a chance to be homesick! Off to do some more packing...and cleaning...
